I think you give up too much to go that far into Disc for the 21/0/50 to be viable for a raid spec. Giving up many of our mana-regen talents to talent for Shield, isn’t that good of an idea.

We might have worse agro issues from Mindsear damage with Ve though
In most cases of mindsearing I predict that we may have to click off the buff. I also can’t see the ‘real’ healers being too enthusisastic about us being able to do more healing with Ve anyway.

Although I’m not a Shadow Priest, I doubt we would see many of the 21/0/50 builds. Simply put, SPriests don’t shield enough to justify taking Soul Warding over Dispersion. At most, they may throw a shield on themselves and/or the MT who just got a big hit (the latter only if they are actually good SPriests) – not sure this justifies giving up Dispersion, even if mana becomes less of a problem (or a non-issue) because of the SW:P glyph changes. Dispersion still gives nice survivability for those “oh shit” moments (Mimiron barrage, Anub’arak scarabs stacks too high, etc).

All this, however, doesn’t change the fact that 1) I’m excited about the changes; 2)they will boost Shadow’s dps, although it remains to be seen whether it’s enough.

And good question about Renewed Hope – I wonder what the answer is….

I’m really excited for this on my own priest (esp. the VE change), but I don’t raid with her. Instead, I’m hoping that maybe something will help our fail!spriests who -do- raid get some oomph in the DPS department.
