I’m trying to get threaded comments and editable comments working nicely together. It’s not going well. If anyone has any suggestions, I welcome them.

In the meantime, here’s a comment topic for you, in honor of 3.3’s new Need Before Greed system: what’s your favorite piece of “wrong” gear – gear that’s not in your “optimal” armor class but that you can still wear, and that you prefer to wear over the available gear that is “optimal”?

    My Brewfest stamina trinkets.

See, I really, REALLY enjoy having 38k effective health as a Warlock. I’ll gladly give up spellpower for it.

My hunter snuggles up to her death warmed belt as if it were a stuffed toy full of yummy yummy hit. The mail “hunter” version is nice, but I can’t afford to lose the hit.

Da resto druid is currently in all leather, but I’d hop on the belt of tenebrous mist or the boots of fiery resolution in a heartbeat.

Fun topic! I’m a disc priest so I live in the “wrong” gear bucket, looking for the elusive caster gear that’s +crit +haste -spirit -hit. You know Blizz has backed themselves into a bizarre corner when my DPS *offspec* cares about spirit, and my healing main spec will take upgrades with +hit instead. I’m currently loving my Pauldrons of Catastrophic Emanation (Emblem of Triumph vendor shoulders with +hit), which look awesome, are named awesomely, and don’t have spirit. Wooooo!

Slightly off-topic, but I do glare murderously at our resident holy pally when spellpower shields drop, because every single one is a wonderfully critlicious upgrade over my offhand item. I’m strong! My unarmed skill is nearly 400! Why can’t I carry a piddly shield??

…Not that I’d trade Fade for a higher armor rating. One little click, and all those Onyxia whelps go running off to chew on my druid friend instead. (Poor druid friend! Not much more armor than me, and must go hug a pally to get rid of her whelps.) I’ll take cloth + Fade any day.
