"Even though you’re playing with players from different servers, you can still get a reputation."

A lovely post. I think this tidbit of advice goes a long way for any player using the new LFG tool. It's important to be considerate and supportive of your group, because you will see them again eventually. It might be a while...but you will. And if not them, then likely a guildmate or someone who knows them.

Good list - I've been healing a lot of randoms - and run in to a lot of the above. That our server always rolled need on orbs, and we are getting some realms going wtf.. blackrock ninja's - People admitting they haven't done it before, ususally if they don't tell you can work it out at the drake stage and when they say - uh where are you guys? - Much easier to instruct them -
Wish some of the tanks would wait before the 1st pull - am usually low on mana after doing the three buffs as a priest and the warriors charge halfway into the next room - and Im looking at my mana buffs trying to calculate when I am going to get a break

A very good article! I wish some of the healers that I've run with had read this... I've had several priests say halfway through the run that they're out of reagents/water and I just can't believe that they would come unprepared.

I guess to them, it's "just a PuG" so they need to make zero effort whatsoever... however, I think that if it's common sense and courtesy to have reagents/water - not only for the PuG for you to do your designated job, but if you're leveling/questing, you'd probably need to have those things in your inventory anyway!

Vivilros, certainly - I didn't mean to imply otherwise. I almost always have Shadow Word: Pain and Devouring Plague on the target mob, at least. The idea isn't that you have zero DPS; the idea is that you're not beating the actual DPSers.

I feel that if you're a shaman or priest healer, and the tank isn't getting OMG WRECKED, you should at least have some DPS, otherwise you're not really contributing to the fight, sitting around and casting renew everytime it falls off and doing just that isn't contributing, at the very least wand some

Hi Atheldane,

I love the idea of the Nevermelting Ice Crystal, but I think it's probably better for Holy priests and resto druids, who get a lot more mileage out of AOE heals and HOTs, respectively. (I imagine that if Circle of Healing, for example, were to crit on everybody, the trinket would only lose one charge, since it's a single spellcast - but I may be wrong on that!) That said, it is a great trinket for Disc priests, and I'm really kind of pleased that Blizzard is experimenting with de-stacking trinket buffs again (something that I don't think we've seen since Zul'Gurub).

I'd like to know how Penance and Prayer of Mending work with the trinket - if all three "hits" of Penance crit, does that take a single charge off the trinket, or three? If POM crit-heals on more than one jump, does that take off a charge per crit or a single charge per spell? (I know that Shadow priests love this trinket because of the synergy between Mind Flay and SW:P - if you cast SW:P after the trinket's effect activates, and then refresh its duration with Mind Flay, SW:P keeps the additional crit for its full duration, since it's technically not being recast.)

As for the set bonus - did you mean T9 or T10? I actually found T9 pretty lackluster, but I love T10. :)

What are your thoughts on the new Trinket that drops from the Final Boss in PoS. It gives +118 spellpower, and on use gives 940 Crit (20.4%) then drop 184 crit for each successful nonperiodic spell that crits.

This is the first trinket I have had drop that has been able to get me to take off my Embrace of the Spider/Pickled Egg (Same +98 Spellpwoer proc 505 haste trinket, it dropped from the Brewfest boss)

I am thinking this lets me dump a good amount of crit from my gems and enchants and stack more haste (450 haste from gear + proc of 505 from embrace of spider and/or pickled egg + 250 haste proc from the patch 3.3 change to enchant weapon:Black Magic)

SO I am sitting at 450 haste, plus any borrowed time procs + a potential of 505+505+250 (1260 max). I just got the new trinket (nevermelting ice crystal) from runnign heroics, and I am finding myself liking what I see. Slightly more spellpower, and on use before I do a big raid heal (Prayer of healing) the chances of critting on every target of the heal, which will proc a divine aegis shield make this worth replacing one of the 505 proc SP trinkets for heavy raid damage situations.
(I am at 24.44% crit or 29.44% Holy Crit, plus the 20.4% that 940 crit adds on use + talents = a scary chance to crit without stacking any more crit enchants and gems (Thus letting me stack more haste as i upgrade my gear by replacing with haste or Int gems)

I know you are into small fast heals, but the situations where you know the raid is going to take a ton of damage (Kologarn, XT-002, or the trash High priest mobs before lady deathwhisperer in ICC) the extra crit for situatons where you are spamming raid heals is pretty sweet.

I just dropped the 505 proc trinket for this trinket last night, and liked the results. I haven't studied the loot tables for ICC too closely yet (I like to be pleasantly surprised by loot rather then know every piece that will drop, I'd rather enjoy learning the fights and having fun with friends)

P.S. the t9 4 piece bonus SOOO rocks for Dic priests
